Yama Buddha The Legend

Yama Buddha, whose real name was Anil Adhikari, was a prominent Nepali rapper, singer, and songwriter. He gained significant recognition for his honest and impactful lyrics that often addressed social and personal issues. Born on May 30, 1987, in Salakpur, Ramechhap, Nepal, he later moved to the United Kingdom for his education.

 

Yama Buddha rose to fame with his debut song "Saathi" in 2012, which touched upon issues like social inequality, migration, and the challenges faced by Nepali youth. His subsequent tracks continued to tackle various societal and emotional topics, making him a relatable and influential figure, especially among the youth in Nepal.

 

Unfortunately, Yama Buddha struggled with personal demons and mental health issues. Tragically, he passed away on January 14, 2017, at the age of 29. His untimely death was a shock to many, and his legacy as a pioneering figure in Nepali hip-hop continues to inspire and influence aspiring artists and fans alike.
