Aerosol Spray Can - Erik Rotheim
AMMAIRE
A spray can is a dispenser that holds a substance usually aerosol which is a liquid under pressure and releases it in the form of a fine spray. The concept of an aerosol spray can originated around 1790, when self-pressurized carbonated beverages were introduced in France. In November 1927, Norwegian engineer Erik Rotheim invented the first aerosol spray can and valve that could hold and dispense products and propellant systems.
The technology of the spray can was greatly
improved after Rotheim's death. This
technology was first used in insect sprays.
