Dear Diary,
It was another day and my eyes suddenly opened to loud banging at the door by my mom and her shoutings addressing that i will miss my bus again. I looked at the clock and saw that I only had fifteen minutes to get to the bus stop. So, I hurriedly got out of bed and rushed to the bathroom, put on my clothes, took snacks my mum packed for me and ran out of the gate while munching on an apple on the way. Bus arrived the second I reached the bus stop.
It was field trip day! Today, our history teacher was taking us to an historical place, Changu Narayan Temple which is located at Bhaktapur. We were all very excited to go there. IT took us nearly two hoursr to reach the place from the school due to rush hour and traffic jam. Despite of traffic jam and chaos of the road, we had a lot of fun in the bus. The scenes around the hills of Changu NArayan was mesmering. The environment was fresh and green unlike that we get to see in the city.
So, we got off the bus, climbed few steps and reached the main temple premises. Few parts of the temple was still being renovated. Some monuments were destroyed by 2072 BS earthquake. We got to know that Changu Narayn Temple is one of the oldest temples in the world and was built around 5th century. It is one of the World Heritage Sites.
I have always been fascinated by glorious ancient architects of our country. The architecture of the temple the carvings, gathered all my attention. Theh stone sculptures, inscriptions, bells and other statues were quite interesting too. We explored the surrounding, gathered few information from the people around and also captured wuth our cameras. Then, we sat down for snacks.
It was quite sad to be witnessing how much people litter this great monument of such cultural and historical value. There were plastics thrown around the premises. So we took out a little time for picking up garbage with the initiation od our teacher. The place loooked cleaner afterwards. And now it was time for our departure.
We left for school leaving behind the beautiful temple with glorious memories to cherish for lifetime. It was an amazing day. As soon as i reached home, i shared all my experiences with my parents. I even had to write a report about the field trip which helped me to relive all the memories. And how I am very tired. I can't wait to get under my cozy blanket and doze off to sleep.
xoxo
