Government's decision to award 6 lakhs to cricket players

The government is going to give a cash prize of Rs 6 lakh to the ACC Premier Cup cricket winner.Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma informed that the cabinet meeting held today on Wednesday decided to give cash prizes of Rs 6 lakh each to the players and Rs 3 lakh each to the officials.After defeating UAE in the final on Tuesday, Nepal became the winner of the ACC Premier Cup and qualified for the Asia Cup Cricket.According to the sports award procedure, the ACC Premier Cup cricket winner would get a prize of Rs 5 lakh. The Council of Ministers has announced an award of 1 lakh more than what was in the procedure.Minister Sharma said that the meeting also decided to arrange the necessary funds to make the Kirtipur cricket ground international level in the budget of the next financial year.
